Time Warner During a recent technology rollout, Time Warner sought out Uni-Data for assistance. Uni-Data provided desktop technicians to troubleshoot workstation hardware and software at the company’s New York location. Our technicians set-up, installed and configured new workstation software and hardware. Additionally, Uni-Data technicians were dispatched to various locations throughout the enterprise to provide desktop support to end-users. Prudential Last year, Prudential Financial astounded the IT world, awarding Uni-Data & Communications the contract to be the sole provider of Desktop support to Prudential in the United States, an outsourcing contract comprising some 50,000 desktops, 10,000 servers and all of the network peripherals and appliances that support them. Uni-Data ran against heavyweight competitors for the work, edging them out by promising better retention of talent. Prudential (cont.) Employees felt better too: all of a sudden, they became part of Uni-Data: a team dedicated to IT, rather than playing roles on the periphery of Prudential's core businesses. Their growth and professional development mattered, and opportunities abounded once the initial knowledge transfer process was underway. Ortronics Uni-Data partnered with Ortronics to complete two major installations in Beijing, China: The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, the fifth-largest bank internationally, and The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications. Uni-Data project managed and provided technical expertise to ensure that the installations are properly completed and comply with EIA/TIA 568 Commercial Building Wiring Standards. Uni-Data supervised and trained the contractor, the Beijing Telephone Company on how to perform the installations. This project was comprised of 8,800 CAT 5 station cables, risers, and both single-mode and multi-mode fiber cables and this project represents the single largest Cat 5 installation to date in China. Independence Community Bank Uni-Data provided project management and engineering services to Independence Community Bank to successfully migrate their internet services from an offsite hosting arrangement to full operational control within their brick and mortar, and provide for a full-service, robust online banking environment. To accomplish this, Uni-Data: * Re-designed infrastructure to support the internet, intranet and internet banking services JPMorganChase When Unity International Group was approached by Chase Manhattan Bank in the mid-80’s to provide assistance with the technology migration of 10,000 Manhattan employees to MetroTechCenter in Brooklyn, a team was assembled for the job. Since that time, the team, christened Uni-Data & Communications in 1989, has walked alongside the financial giant’s path, enabling some of the great strides made within the banking industry by clearing technological hurdles from its path. Seventeen years later, Uni-Data remains a lead provider of technology solutions to JPMorganChase, now the 3rd largest bank worldwide. Cablevision Uni-Data provided first and second level helpdesk support personnel for Cablevision in Woodbury, New York. The first level support personnel were responsible for answering calls coming into the helpdesk and determining the severity of the call and the necessary expertise to solve the problem. If first level personnel could not close the call, it was dispatched to second level support and a desk-side visit was performed. Uni-Data also provided systems engineers to Cablevision to assist in various technology projects such as hardware and software platform upgrades, application installations and upgrades, network infrastructure consulting and standardization, server consolidations, etc. BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina When constructing a three-story Service Center Building totaling nearly a quarter of a million square feet, BlueCross/ BlueShield of North Carolina engaged Uni-Data to provide professional engineering services, structured cabling design, and project management for the project. BlueCross Blue Shield’s plans were an ambitious consolidation: the new center would provide state-of-the-art communications technology to nearly 1,500 employees servicing BlueCross/BlueShield’s huge call volume. Blue Cross/Blue Shield realized that tying together voice and data services for all of Raleigh Durham’s BlueCross BlueShield locations would be a significant challenge.,Uni-Data was brought in to negotiate on their behalf and provide coordination to the many Local Exchange Carriers providing copper, fiber and switching. Additionally, Uni-Data performed all engineering and design tasks, field testing and the actual roll-out and implementation of voice and data solutions. BankBoston When BankBoston sought to create an optimized trading environment, they contracted Uni-Data. Uni-Data engineers analyzed BankBoston’s Trading infrastructure, conducted on-site interviews and provided recommendations and documentation for network optimization. The implementation resulted in the creation of a state-of-the-art infrastructure, with increased security and redundancy. AT&T As part of an outsourcing effort, Uni-Data provided AT&T with engineering, implementation and project management services. Uni-Data’s qualified telecommunications professionals were integrated into the AT&T team to provide its customers with a seamless transition to a new telecommunications servicing structure. Activities performed for AT&T ranged from engineering, data architecture design, configuration and installation, to full service desktop connectivity. In the voice communications arena, Uni-Data provided project management services for the implementation of a 10,000 line Centrex Intellipath cut-over for a major New York financial institution. Integro Insurance Brokers In 2005, Integro Insurance Brokers, a newly-founded global risk management firm, sought out Uni-Data to consult on the rollout of a new corporate desktop set-up for it's entire operation.
